The following is straight from the questionnaire given to the candidate.  All answers are from the candidate –

NC4Freedom Candidate Questionnaire

This is a base questionnaire for candidates running for office at any level in the state of NC.  Some questions may not apply as written.  If you wish to rephrase and address the question based on the level of government for which you are running you may.  If a question does not apply to the level of office for which you are running you may answer with ‘does not apply’ or give you opinion anyways.  Full participation is appreciated but not required.  We will inform the voters as to those candidates who do not or wish to not reply.

Name – DEBRA CONRAD
Candidate for – NC House District 74

1.                   What is your position on a NC State voter ID law?
I support a voter photo ID identification law to prevent voter fraud.

2.                   What is your plan to help NC deal with the problem of illegal immigration?
As a county commissioner I tried to get the sheriff’s dept to join up with the 287 g program.  I testified several years ago before a congressional sub-Committee.  Today’s ruling by SCOTUS against Arizona’s law does not bode well for the future of state’s rights in this matter, but we need to go after forged documentation, businesses that hire illegals and pay under the table and hope we get a new president that enforces the federal laws and protects our  borders.

3.            What is your plan to deal with tax rates in the state of NC? (please address state income and gas taxes)
Corporate tax rates particularly need to be reduced in our state to better compete with surrounding states that have lower rates to bring in jobs and new businesses. The gas tax was capped recently by the state leg. but we have to remember in NC, roads are paid for by the state, not by counties which is why our gas tax is high. If the state dumped this responsibility on local government, then property taxes would go through the roof and we don’t want that to happen.   I am against personal income tax increases and any modernization of the tax code needs to be revenue neutral for individuals or lowered in this state.

4.            What will you do to deal with government regulations on individuals, businesses, and industries in NC?
They all need to be reviewed and excessive regulations modified or eliminated.  This should be done on an ongoing basis in the future and some flexibility also built into the system.

5.            What is your position on the US military and Veterans?
Support the military and the veterans in every way.

6.            How do you view unions in NC?
We are a right to work state and need to stay that way.

7.            Do you see government fraud as a major problem today and what would you do about it?
Yes.  We need to after all types of government fraud, particularly as a way to solve budget shortfalls. For example there was quite a bit of fraud during the recent economic downturn in unemployment benefits where individuals were receiving checks after obtaining a job in NC.  This is just one example of the fraud that exists at every level of government.

8.            What part would you play to bring new businesses and jobs into NC?
Economic development has been my number two interest as a county commissioner for 18 years after preventing tax increases.  I intend to use my experience as a 17 year member of the chamber of commerce, member of Winston-Salem Business inc and my service on both the Film Commission and the Tourism Development Authority to help recruit all types of new businesses and jobs to NC.  Manufacturing plants are going to be reshored from overseas and we need to jump on every opportunity to get those into our state.   I will advocate for a lower corporate tax rate and infrastructure improvements and workforce training.

9.            What are the main problems you have with education today and what are your ideas to help educate future generations?
I agree with many of Senator Berger’s excellence in education initiatives. Tenure for teachers has not been in the best interest of students and I believe in some form of merit pay.  Our dropout rate is too high, we should be socially promoting students and many students who do graduate are not literate enough to obtain meaningful employment.  I support charter schools and think competition is healthy.

10.          What do you see as the most important foreign policy issue facing NC?
A combination of how our foreign relationships effect our energy recourses and trade issues.

11.          What are the most pressing issues facing NC use and production of energy?
The most immediate on is probably the issue of fracking and off shore drilling for domestic oil either in the southeast or elsewhere in the US.

12.          Section 3, Article V of the NC Constitution gives exceptions to allow the state government to acquire debt.  Do you feel it is time to relook at these exceptions to achieve a no-clause balanced budget amendment, or do you feel these exceptions are legitimate?
I believe in conservative debt limits and enacted a 15% ceiling for my county debt payments as percent of budget.  Unfortunately most elected officials think the sky is the limit for debt which is why we are in on the brink of fiscal insolvency at the national level.     I also believe in the importance of maintaining the highest bond ratings so that the citizens get the lowest interest rate on any debt government does incur.

13.          What are your feelings about UN Agenda 21 and what direction do you feel NC as a state should move in the area of sustainability?
NO

14.          What is your opinion on Imminent Domain and annexation?
Do not believe in imminent domain and do not believe in forced annexation.  The NC has been working on the annexation issue.

15.          Where do you stand on the creation of the Southport mega-port project?
That is an interesting subject and would like to down to the coast and understand both sides of the issue.  I do think it is important to understand the implications in potential lost jobs or businesses by not having the coastal infrastructure to allow the larger ships which will be coming through the Panama Canal to unload and load cargo in the state of NC and allow VA or our neighbor states to the south to get ahead of us. I do not know the full impact of the costs or environmental hurdles, but think this decision is very important to the future of this state.

16.          In your opinion, what should the relationship between state/local governments be with its citizens?
It should be a relationship where the citizens are heard and understood.  Elected officials are servants of the people and sent to Raleigh or their local bodies to enact the will of the majority.

17.          What is your opinion of the Affiliate Nexus Tax Law which prevents NC bloggers to become on-line associates of companies like Amazon?
I am afraid I need to do more research on this one.

18.          What do you want voters to know about you?
If they have followed my votes as a county commissioner the last 18 years, then they will know how I will vote in the state house.  I believe in being consistent in my political philosophy.  I am a tough fiscal conservative most of all and believe in the old Republican saying that spending is the problem and learn how to say no.

19.          What is the #1 problem facing the office for which you are running and how do you propose addressing that problem?
Currently the number one concern is the same as across the country…restore the economy back to prosperity, creating jobs and bringing in new industries to the state.  Of course I also believe that goes hand in hand with fiscal restraint and low taxes.

I want to thank Candidate Conrad for taking the time out and filling out this questionnaire.  Good luck in November.

Mike Causey  – NC Commissioner of insurance

What is your position on a NC State voter ID law?

1. I support a voter ID law and will work to make photo ID a requirement for voting in NC.

What is your plan to help NC deal with the problem of illegal immigration?

2. I will work to enforce laws on illegal immigration and increase penalties on employers hiring illegal aliens.

What is your plan to deal with tax rates in the state of NC? (please address state income and gas taxes)

3. As a member of the Council-of-State, I will work and vote to lower state income taxes and lower state gasoline taxes.

What will you do to deal with government regulations on individuals, businesses, and industries in NC?

4. I will work to cut government regulations and red tape in business and the NC Department of insurance. I will streamline regulations and simplify the operations of this department to make it more responsive to THE PEOPLE.

What is your position on the US military and Veterans?

5. As a veteran of the Unites States Army, having served overseas during the VietNam era, I carried a badge and a gun as a Military Policeman. I also served in the U.S. Army Band in active duty, U.S. Army Reserves and the North Carolina national Guard. I am a strong supporter of the military and our veterans.

How do you view unions in NC?

6. I support our current Right to Work laws. Workers should not be forced to join a union, but they can if they want to join through their own free will and accord.

Do you see government fraud as a major problem today and what would you do about it?

7. Yes, I do see government fraud (and abuse) as a problem and will work to get rid of any fraud and abuse under my jurisdiction.

What part would you play to bring new businesses and jobs into NC?

8. As Commissioner of Insurance, I will work to bring more insurance companies (and other companies) and jobs, to North Carolina. I will develop a “free market system” of insurance and increase competition to lower rates and improve service to the people and will open up new markets to help the local economy and stimulate new jobs.

What are the main problems you have with education today and what are your ideas to help educate future generations?

9. As a former teacher, with actual classroom teaching experience, we need to get the federal government out of education and reduce the role of the state and return control to the parents and local (County) government. There is too much ‘social engineering’ and ‘political correctness’ and not enough basic education skills taught. We should return prayer to the class room and recite the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of each school day or week.  I will work to promote home schools, charter schools, Christian Schools, Private Schools and other alternatives to public schools, while working to improve our public schools. I want to cut the number of administrators and reduce school budgets to make public schools more accountable to the taxpayers and parents.

A major change needs to occur to bring more focus on Christianity and higher standards of conduct. We need to ‘push back’ this onslaught of the New World order, Agenda 21 and indoctrination of Islamic Law into our public schools, which currently exists, before it is too late.

What do you see as the most important foreign policy issue facing NC?

10. The most important ‘Foreign Policy’ issue facing the U.S. is illegal immigration and the aggressive push by Islamic Extremists to gain a foothold in our schools and communities.

What are the most pressing issues facing NC use and production of energy?

11. The most pressing issues facing NC in energy is the lack of production in our state. We need to promote drilling for oil and natural gas, offshore on within the state, as well as promote other forms or energy production. New jobs and opportunities would arise with a push for energy production.

Section 3, Article V of the NC Constitution gives exceptions to allow the state government to acquire debt.  Do you feel it is time to relook at these exceptions to achieve a no-clause balanced budget amendment, or do you feel these exceptions are legitimate?

12. I believe that it is past time to re-look at the exceptions to acquire debt by state government.

It needs to be much harder to acquire debt; We need zero-based budgeting and a no-clause balanced budget.

What are your feelings about UN Agenda 21 and what direction do you feel NC as a state should move in the area of sustainability?

13. I am adamantly opposed to UN Agenda 21 and the push by some cities, counties and states to embrace it.

What is your opinion on Imminent Domain and annexation?

14. I am opposed to forced annexation and imminent domain for private uses. I believe in private property rights.

Where do you stand on the creation of the Southport mega-port project?

15. I am opposed to the Southport Mega-Port ‘project’!

In your opinion, what should the relationship between state/local governments be with its citizens?

16. State and local governments should work FOR THE PEOPLE. I believe the government closest to the people works best. Therefore, City/County governments should decide local issues with as much public input as practical. No closed-door meetings or good ol’ boy deals behind closed doors. More open government and more transparency needs to exist. The state legislature should avoid local mandates if at all possible. Let the local governments work it out.

Where the local government is abusing their power or refusing to listen to citizens, the citizens should have the right to appeal their case to the state government agency involved, the state legislature or the governor. The rights of the PEOPLE should come first.

What is your opinion of the Affiliate Nexus Tax Law which prevents NC bloggers to become on-line associates of companies like Amazon?

17. I’m against the Affiliate Nexus Tax Law.

What do you want voters to know about you?

18. I am Mike Causey, military veteran (US Army) and conservative candidate for insurance commissioner of North Carolina. I want to lower your car insurance rates and I want to lower your homeowners insurance rates!

I ask for your support and your vote in the July 17 Republican 2nd Primary Election or in early voting from June 28 – July 14. I have never served as an elected official, so I am not a ‘career politician’ but a statesman who wants to serve the public.

My background in insurance, business management and the building industry make me uniquely qualified to lead this department for better service to the people. I have 30 years experience in the insurance business at all levels, from agent and agency management to executive level management. I have a solid working knowledge of how insurance works and how to improve our insurance crisis in North Carolina.

The insurance commissioner is the Chief Fire Marshall, Chief Building Inspector (State Building Code), Chief Insurance regulator and regulates bail bondsmen, collection agencies, manufactured housing, workers compensation, travel clubs, Senior Health Information Program, Risk management Division (insures state-owned buildings, vehicles, university personnel).

It is time we had an insurance commissioner with EXPERIENCE in the insurance business and a working knowledge of the department to help the people it serves. I pledge to serve the people- ALL THE PEOPLE of North Carolina, not just selected areas.

I need your help to win. Vote Mike CAUSEY for insurance commissioner!

What is the #1 problem facing the office for which you are running and how do you propose addressing that problem?

19. The number one problem facing the office for which I am running- Insurance Commissioner- is the insurance crisis in North Carolina. We are facing serious insurance problems in many areas of our state and the people can’t get a straight answer from our insurance department. I will change that- the people WILL BE SERVED!

 Mike Causey
 CAUSEY for INSURANCE COMMISSIONER
503 N. Greene St.
Greensboro, NC 27401
336-210-1947

I would like to thank Mike for taking time out of his busy schedule and filling out this questionnaire.  I also want to wish him luck as he faces his opponent on 17 July in the 2nd primary.  I understand he has alot going on and hope all goes well for him.

Name – DAN FOREST
Candidate for – NC LT. GOVERNOR

1.             What is your position on a NC State voter ID law?

I am strongly in favor of protecting one of our most basic rights – the right to vote, and am strongly in favor of photo voter id.

2.             What is your plan to help NC deal with the problem of illegal immigration?

I would like to be the point person on the Executive Team to fight the illegal immigration problem. I believe North Carolina needs to implement e-verify for all North Carolina employers, and we need to implement the 287g program in all North Carolina counties. We also need to mandate English as the official language.

3.             What is your plan to deal with tax rates in the state of NC? (please address state income and gas taxes)

North Carolina has the highest corporate income tax in the Southeast, the highest gas tax in the Southeast, and the highest personal income tax in the Southeast. We need to begin to eliminate the corporate income tax, reduce the gas tax to be competitive with our Southeast neighbors, and to create personal income tax brackets for small businesses. We need to, over time, work to replace the personal income tax with a constitutionally limited fair tax or flat tax.

4.             What will you do to deal with government regulations on individuals, businesses, and industries in NC?

I will continue the precedent that has been set by the current North Carolina legislature to help reduce any and all regulations that harm North Carolina businesses.

5.             What is your position on the US military and Veterans?

North Carolina is the 3rd largest military state in the nation and we need to grow our military presence. I would work with the military to recruit ancillary businesses to support our existing military bases and even grow the existing bases that are here in North Carolina. We need to continue to make our veterans a priority in America and ensure that those who have sacrificed to protect our freedoms are taken care of.

6.             How do you view unions in NC?

We need to continue to ensure that North Carolina remains a right to work state.

7.             Do you see government fraud as a major problem today and what would you do about it?

Yes, the potential is always there for fraud. We need to elect individuals with character and integrity to eliminate the problem.

8.             What part would you play to bring new businesses and jobs into NC?

The Lt. Governor sits on the North Carolina Economic Development Board and has a number of appointment powers to economic development boards and commissions. First and foremost, we need to create a taxation and regulatory environment that is friendly to existing business and to businesses we are trying to recruit. North Carolina ranks 44th in the nation in business tax climate. We need to reduce the taxation and regulatory burden on our existing businesses and allow them to innovate and create jobs.

9.             What are the main problems you have with education today and what are your ideas to help educate future generations?

62% of high school students that graduate and go on to higher education receive some form of remedial reading or remedial math in college. Not only are we not preparing our students to compete in a global economy, in many instances, we are not even teaching them the basics. I believe the solution is to break the state government-controlled monopoly on education and introduce choice, returning the control and decision-making power back to parents, teachers and local communities. When we break the monopoly on education, we will see increased quality, decreased costs and a wave of innovation that will drive competition. The rising tide of innovation will improve all forms of education.

10.            What do you see as the most important foreign policy issue facing NC?

I believe America is losing its status as the leading superpower in the world. Our current executive administration’s policy on appeasement is weakening the strength of our nation.

11.            What are the most pressing issues facing NC use and production of energy?

We need to continue the path that has been started by the current GOP-controlled legislature in opening up the means to explore our energy resources here in North Carolina. We need to begin the exploration of natural gas and oil resources, to ensure future generations that North Carolina can be an energy-independent state.

12.            Section 3, Article V of the NC Constitution gives exceptions to allow the state government to acquire debt.  Do you feel it is time to relook at these exceptions to achieve a no-clause balanced budget amendment, or do you feel these exceptions are legitimate?

I believe that our government, just like individual Americans, needs to live within its means, and needs to have a real balanced budget every year with complete transparency so every taxpaying North Carolinian will know exactly where every one of their dollars is being spent. Currently in North Carolina, there are a number of items that fall outside of the general fund budget, increasing our state’s burden of unfunded liabilities. This process needs to come to an end.

13.            What are your feelings about UN Agenda 21 and what direction do you feel NC as a state should move in the area of sustainability?

I am generally leery of any treaties or agendas proposed by the United Nations. Agenda 21 is an affront to our right to own property and many of our basic freedoms and liberties that we take for granted in America. Like most Americans, I am in favor of protecting the environment, but don’t believe the government should be in the business of subsidizing pet projects for sustainable energy, when this should be a free-market, free-enterprise issue.

14.            What is your opinion on Imminent Domain and annexation?

I am strongly against annexation without representation and strongly in favor of protecting personal property rights.

15.            Where do you stand on the creation of the Southport mega-port project?

Based on my understanding of the Southport mega-port issue and the research that has been done into these issues, the companies that would potentially use this port have made it clear to officials in North Carolina that this is not a viable option for their businesses and they would continue to use ports in Norfolk and Charleston in lieu of North Carolina. Given that basic understanding of the issue, I would not be in favor of the multi-million dollar investment necessary to create this port.

16.            In your opinion, what should the relationship between state/local governments be with its citizens?

I believe that government decision-making and power should be as close to the people as possible. Therefore, I believe in returning as much power as possible to the local governments first, to the state government second, and to the national government third.

17.            What is your opinion of the Affiliate Nexus Tax Law which prevents NC bloggers to become on-line associates of companies like Amazon?

The internet has opened up numerous opportunities for small business owners in our state. Why kill the goose that laid the golden egg?

18.            What do you want voters to know about you?

My background is business and architecture, not politics. I will bring a business-minded approach to solving the challenges that face North Carolina. As architects, we are visionaries, planners, creative problem solvers and consensus-builders. I believe these are the types of qualities needed in North Carolina government at the executive level.

19.            What is the #1 problem facing the office for which you are running and how do you propose addressing that problem?

Back in the 1980s, some of the duties and responsibilities of the Office of Lt. Governor were stripped from the Republican Lt. Governor by a Democrat legislature. I believe that, over time, those powers should be returned to their rightful place.

I want to personally thank Mr. Forest for taking the time to answer this questionnaire.  I understand that he is in a whirlwind runoff which takes up a good amount of his time.  I would like to wish him good luck on 17 July.

The True Core of the Progressive

Is it me or do Progressives never cease to reveal their banter of hatred?  Thus goes Asheville City Councilman Cecil Bothwell.  Bothwell has never been shy of criticizing others.  He has made a career of being a humanist who backs his theories as truths backed by more theories and dismisses anyone who does not believe as he does.  He has made a habit in his blog, of belittling Christianity and its followers, which based on his beliefs, are not surprising.  This information is just a set-up of his latest tirade which is steeped in hatred and goes against his self-proclaimed accepted life philosophy, following the Golden Rule (referenced in Wikipedia – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cecil_Bothwell )

Let’s review the “Golden Rule”.  As stated by Wikipedia the Golden Rule is also known as the ethic of reciprocity.  Its original form can be express ‘Do unto others as you would have done onto you’ or something very similar.  According to most scholars it is found in nearly every religion in some sort.  It has a positive note as ‘One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself’.  It has a negative version as ‘One should not treat others in ways that one would not like to be treated’.  It is a great way to live life and ‘IF’ Councilman Bothwell truly lived like this it may speak volumes of who he could be.

If this is truly the philosophy which Councilman Bothwell has taken, why did he respond to an op-ed article from columnist John Boyle, who claimed those against UN Agenda 21 are just conspiracy theorists like this –

“Great column, John,
All those in favor of an unsustainable future, raise your hands.
All of you who prefer dumb growth to smart growth, raise your hands.

Now that the idiots have self-identified, perhaps those of us with our hands down can have an adult conversation about the choices we face in a resource-poor world, where 1/6 of the human population don’t have access to potable water, where 1 in 4 American kids go to bed hungry.

As for the flaming fear of world government exhibited by the paranoids with their hands up—apparently they prefer to settle international issues with nukes instead of diplomacy, and don’t want some kind of mechanism for international discussion. Call it the United Nations or the League of Nations, or the Council of Elders, whatever … but thank goodness we have developed systems to achieve peaceful resolution of the big issues that face the globe. Is it perfect? Of course not. Is it essential? Absolutely.”

Here’s the link to this response – http://www.citizen-times.com/comments/article/20120624/NEWS/306240071/Asheville-s-John-Boyle-Agenda-21-stuff-paranoid-delusions

So let’s review.  Cecil wants to live by the golden rule.  He calls some very intelligent and active voters self-identified idiots and paranoids.  Therefore he himself is a self-identified idiot and a paranoid.  It’s an all too common tool by the Progressives to attack common citizens in order to make us look dumb, but it works quite the opposite way.  The irrational hatred in his response takes away from any logical argument he may have had.  It’s becoming an all too common response from Progressives at all levels.

Why would he attack with such fury?  It’s because he has a lot invested in the fear politics of climate change and sustainability.   His own blog states he has ‘has addressed issues of sustainabiliity, human rights and social responsibility in personal appearances and media venues around the world’ (this is straight from his blog so the typo is his own).  His very own blog shows that he speaks of the building blocks of UN Agenda 21 (A21) itself.  His pure investment into A21 is why he has to defend it with such hatred.  He tries to make others look like a fool when in reality his rage expressed makes him look like the hypocrite.

A21 is a serious and real issue.  The evidence of its existence is everywhere and has been elevated in the recent Rio+20 Conference which just ended.  Its backbone is climate change/sustainability and its claims.  Science has proven that these claims are FALSE!  Check out what Glenn Beck said on his show via an article from theblaze.com – http://www.theblaze.com/stories/green-is-the-new-red-gbtv-discusses-global-warming-and-radical-factions-of-environmentalism/

To learn more about A21 watch this video – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzoN0IQsTAE&sns=fb

For more information on how to stop A21 from taking a hold in your community or getting it out visit – http://www.jbs.org/issues-pages/stop-agenda-21

It’s people like Cecil Bothwell who are trying to take away our freedoms with hate claims against those who care enough to actually do their own research.  Please do your own research and find the truth for yourselves.  We must be a new generation of Defending Fathers if we want freedoms passed to our children and our grandchildren.  The future of the next generations is in our hands today.

Introducing Jack Brosch

As I entered Thomas Street Tavern in Charlotte, NC I saw a man looking at the pictures on the wall.  He was exploring the rock-n-roll memorabilia that was strewn all over the walls at the classic downtown diner.  I called out “Jack” and I heard him respond.  Over the next couple of hours I got to meet one of the most down-to-Earth individuals you could ever talk to.  He admitted he was slightly on the numbers side, but at times I could see the emotion well up inside of him as we talked about what is going on in North Carolina and throughout the nation.

Jack is running to become the Congressman of District 12 in North Carolina.  He admits he has an uphill battle against Liberal establishment candidate Mel Watt.  It is thought in many circles that Congressman Watt is bulletproof.  I admit it will be tough, but if people start listening to Jack’s message and ignore the D or the R behind the candidate, they will realize he is the better candidate for them.  He is truly for the people and will be a vast improvement from Mel Watt.

As we had lunch we talked about a wide array of subjects.  He is very involved in the Frederick Douglas Foundation to the point where he is trying to get specially made calendars made to educate people about the rich black history within the Republican Party.  He is trying to educate that the Republican Party backs tradition family and the sanctity of life which are traditional church values at all levels.  He wants to help debut C.L. Bryant’s powerful documentary ‘Runaway Slave’ in North Carolina.  He is about truth and is for the people.  In everything he said you could see the passion he has for the people he will serve.

http://www.frederickdouglassfoundation.com/

http://www.runawayslavemovie.com/

After we ate I had the opportunity to do a lightning round of issues with him.  It shows where he stands on many issues and hopefully is a great introduction on why we should back this man for Congress.  Here are some of his answers and my feelings about them.

~The first thing we talked about was voter ID.  He said he wrote a letter to the NC General Assembly and asked them not to compromise their position of a strong voter ID law.  He said sure we may not get the veto overrode, but what is the greater consequence.  We may see voter fraud during November, but we will see a stronger law in place once we have the Governor seat.

~On illegal immigration the one thing that really jumped out at me was “Secure the Borders”.  He seems to believe in the laws in place and the process for legal immigration we have already.

~On taxes his ultimate goal is the Fair Tax.  In order to get the Fair Tax he will support 9-9-9.  It’s all about getting rid of what we have right now and moving towards a system that will work.

~On government regulations his words were “stop them!”  He believes in getting rid of a lot of the regulations we have on the books right now.  He also supports the idea that any regulation put into effect that costs the government $100 million or more, must get full approval from Congress before it can be implemented.

~He is a strong supporter of the military and Veterans.  He says that if the US goes to war, the military MUST BE fully funded to include those Veterans who are returning with disabilities.  He also cares about those providers who are exploiting our Veterans into causing fraudulent claims.  He also believes in the funding of NASAA and DARPA.

~He is a strong supporter of the elimination of public unions.  He said it makes no sense for two sides to go into bargaining meetings when the two sides are from the same group.  He is also in support of a national right to work law.

~When it comes to government fraud, he believes that there is enough fraudulent spending in the government to balance the budget.  He believes we need to crack down on those things we spend money on that are waste.  He also believes we should use technology to identify the areas of waste (Jack runs a computer solutions company and knows what he is talking about in this area).

~He believes in opening up an environment that is friendly to creating business and creating jobs.  This is through tax cuts and deregulation.  Also he is for reducing the repatriated tax rate in order to bring money from oversees back into the US.

~He believes that the Federal Department of Education should be shut down and that education should be a state issue.

~He believes that laws passed by Congress should apply to Congress.  He believes that laws should be available to the public for 72 hours for review before Congress votes on them.  He also believes in the sunset clause.

~He desires for the US to pull out of the UN.  He also has great concern for the Law of Sea Treaty.  He stated a concern that treaties should go through both chambers of the house rather than just the senate.

~He wants the privatization of energy.  He supports shallow water drilling and safe fracking for natural gas.  He does not believe in subsidies.

~He believes in a year to year balanced budget and says he would help shut down the government until they get one passed.

~With great passion he said UN Agenda 21 is one of the most dangerous things America faces.  This is one reason he said the US needs to get out of the UN.

Finally I wanted to show what kind of a person Jack is.  I asked the question ‘What is the number one problem this nation is facing?’  His response, “We are loosing our freedom.  We our loosing our ability to own personal property, we are loosing the ability to earn and keep our money, we are loosing the ability to create businesses, and we are loosing the ability to educate our children as we see fit.”

I then asked ‘How can this problem be fixed’.  He quickly answered very simply, “A Balanced Budget Amendment and the Fair Tax.”

After I left I realized that I just met with a man who should become the next Congressman from NC District 12.  We just need to get the message out to the people.  I realize you may not agree with 100% of what Jack stands for, but it’s important to understand that he is a 100% improvement over the person sitting in the seat right now.

If you live in NC District 12, remember to Back Jack in November!  If you do not live there, please help his campaign by giving a small donation.  This is the type of person we need for the sake of America and to fight for freedom.

Remember and repeat after me “I Back Jack!”

Moron of the Week: Greta Hawkins

I’d like to congratulate our “Moron of the Week” award winner Edna Cohen School principal Greta Hawkins, for slapping the face of Veterans everywhere who have served this nation.

You ask who is Greta Hawkins and why does she deserve the time of this post?  She is a principal in Brooklyn, NY who has used her sovereign power to prevent kindergarten students from singing one of the greatest patriotic anthems ever written, ‘God Bless the U.S.A.”

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/06/10/nyc-principal-bars-students-from-singing-god-bless-usa-at-graduation/#ixzz1xNFLAfWs?test=latestnews

Ever since I was in high school, our choir sung Lee Greenwood’s classic anthem.  It sent chills down my spine every time I heard it.  I enjoyed being part of something so patriotic and near to my heart.  When I joined the Army I lead my platoon in this song when I was in training.  I often sung the song to myself and continued to take pride in this song.  This is one song that has continued through my life.  I recently resurrected singing it at an Army school late last year singing it before my class with no accompaniment.  I didn’t need any accompaniment because the song is imbedded in my mind and heart.  I do not need words and will never need words.

So why would Greta Hawkins do this?  She “claims” that ‘we don’t want to offend other cultures’.  Wow, I bet the PC police are happy that they have a new spokes”person” on board for their side.  But then again is Principal Hawkins someone they want on their side?  I’m sure glad she’s not on ours.

Doing a web search on her I found some incredibly startling facts on Principal Hawkins that leave me with one blazing question, “Why is she still working?”  I found peer reviews of Miss Hawkins from teachers for 29 January, 19 February, and 28 April.  The majority of the reviews in each of the reports state that shee is one of the poorest rated principal’s I have ever seen.  In the 29 Jan report – http://teachervoice.com/principal-reviews/P-S-90-Edna-Cohen-School/Greta-Hawkins/10-47416_427-1390/ – a teacher gave her all “poor” ratings in every aspect of her job.  Same in the 19 February report – http://teachervoice.com/principal-reviews/P-S-90-Edna-Cohen-School/Greta-Hawkins/10-47416_427-1422/.  The most extensive report was the 28 April report – http://teachervoice.com/principal-reviews/Brooklyn/P-S-90-Edna-Cohen-School/10-47416/  This report has 19 teachers who reviewed her job performance and 13 of the 19 gave her all poor or very poor ratings.  What is it saying when a large majority of the faculty under a principal see nothing but a “poor” figure.  See the reports for yourself and see if it doesn’t make you scratch your head.  To quote one of the teachers – “Greta Hawkins is vindictive and malicious towards everyone who is not in her close circle of trusted employes until she decides they are no longer useful to her”.

Next thing I found was an article titled “Brooklyn principal a ‘bully’.  WHAT?  That’s right it seems that our good friend Greta Hawkins has been threatening parents by saying that she’ll turn then in to the Administration for Children Services.  A parent group called “Action Committee to Save PS-90” has brought allegations to the District 21 Community Education Council, who School Chancellor Dennis Walcot said he couldn’t deal with “personnel specifics publically”.  I’m not even going into the spineless action of Mr. Walcott, but as I read the article, the laundry list against Miss Hawkins is very long.  I’ll also say that the laundry is not clean.  The amazing part of this article is that it is a union periodical – http://www.uft.org/news-stories/brooklyn-principal-bully  Just to give you an idea of the person we are mentioning here I will take one quote from the article – “She’s not a boss who pushes the staff to work better. She’s a boss who lies to end your career,” said one longtime school veteran, who asked for anonymity for fear of retaliation.

Her reign of stupid does go back ever farther – http://articles.nydailynews.com/2010-09-29/local/29441324_1_public-school-staffers-wrong-words  From what I’ve read the 9 teachers who filed the complaint have been reassigned instead of Principal Hawkins being removed.

With all this evidence that has piled up over the years the big question goes to Isabel Dimola, the Community District Superintendent.  Miss Dimola, Why does Principal Hawkins have a job?  To quote the union article – Hawkins’ critics say she took a healthy school culture and made it toxic.

This is just a small example why me and my wife home school.

UPDATE:  Nice article from the NY Post that goes into her latest episode in detail.  See for yourself: http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/brooklyn/school_silences_patriotic_song_xdunXcLPbE8S2rAEcZoUiP#.T9SXU6buSbI.facebook

UPDATE 2:  Please ‘Like’ the FaceBook page Fire Greta Hawkins and become the solution to this problem.  We need to come together and help PS90 end this reign of terror. http://www.facebook.com/FireGretaHawkinsPrincipalOfPs90SchoolInNewYork

UPDATE 3:  It seems that Dennis Walcott is at it again.  Ignoring the concerns of faculty and parents, Cancellor Walcott sides with his beloved dictator principal.  This is systemic and the concern needs to be elevated.  This is a multi-level corruption that needs to be defeated from the outside.  If we need to, let Mayor Bloomberg hear what the nation has to say.  Even though I’m in NC, the children of America are very important to me.  This principal, and now Chancellor Walcott are setting these kids and the future of this nation into the garbage with their heavy handed, dictorial rule.  Reminds me alot of past governments who ruled their people merciously and with great fear and contempt.  I am now asking the ouster of both Principal Hawkins and Chancellor Walcott!

UPDATE 4:  Mayor Bloomberg announces that Beiber is gone saying it was Principal Hawkin’s decision.  He is backed by Chancelor Walcott.  Also Lee Greenwood speaks out!  “I’m just disappointed. I’ve sung it at many elementary schools myself. It’s always a wonderful moment,”  Also it seems that Principal Hawkins is being investigated by the DOE for hitting a student while taking a cell phone away.  This and more –

A Crazy Thought – Did the Democrats Throw the Wisconsin Recall?

I know this may sound crazy but let’s take a look at what they’ve been saying about certain things.

First, we have the Liberal funded Occupy Movement.  The Occupiers have been up in arms protesting those corporations which they dubbed as the 1%.  They attack banks everywhere and claim that big business is oppressing the common person or what they describe as the 99%.

Next, we have the Liberal politicians and their class warfare barrage.  They are claiming that the richest of Americans do not pay their fair share and should be taxed more in order to fund the government social handouts that so many Americans are dependent on.

Next, we have the fact that the amount of money spent in the Wisconsin Recall Election leaned tremendously towards the right.  Walker outspent Barrett $34 million to $4 million.

Finally, we have the Main Stream Media using the disparity of spending in this election as the main reason that Walker won.  They are stating that if you spend enough money to get your message across then people will hear it.

All this is fine and dandy, but let’s look at the facts.

First, the Occupy Movement includes people like Michael Moore who are the 1% of the riches people in America.  It was proven that many people in the original Occupy Movement were either hired or there for college credit.  Some didn’t even have a clue why they were there.  In actuality they should not be protesting against the businesses who give the people jobs, but instead the government regulation which raise our cost of living, make it near impossible to live out the American Dream, and have oppressed more people than any private corporation ever has.

Next, class warfare is an imaginary war created by a foolish group of people who want to oppress the people by forcing the cost of living beyond what they can afford.  How do you do this?  They do this by overtaxing the rich into passing the taxes along to the consumer.  This will force everything we buy to be more expensive and make it impossible to live without being dependent on the government.  The more they can force people onto government dependency, the more control they have of the people.

Next, the spending in this race is solid fact, but is it reality?  The amount of funding that Governor Walker received was large, but could it have been matched or topped by the Liberal machine?  The answer is absolutely, yes!  You see 14 of the top 20 political donors from 1998-2012 are Liberal leaning.  Eleven of those 14 are unions.  The Liberals complained that the Koch Brothers effected this elections with donation and they did.  Problem with this is historically between 1998-2012 the Koch Brothers have given just over $12 million in donations, the 11 unions in the top twenty have given over $444 billion dollars in that same time frame.  Just to give you an example in North Carolina Congressional District 12, Liberal/Socialist stall worth Mel Watt has a huge donation advantage over his opponent Jack Brosch.  What people do not know is that over $304 thousand of Watt’s major donations $327,650 were given by PACs and Committees.

Finally the MSM is looking for any reason it can to sway this election into a positive light for the Liberals.  What better way to do this than to paint the light of the evil 1% coming in and buying an election.  They ignore the fact that 38% of union households voted for Walker.  They ignore the fact that the unions tried to intimidate this election for their good.  They refuse to acknowledge the people of Wisconsin who truly gave a message to the entire United States that they will not tolerate this injustice in their state.

So now back to my original thought.  Did the Democrats throw the Wisconsin Recall Election?

Ask these few questions for yourself and then once again come back to the original question.

With the presence of the Occupiers at the anti-Walker rallies, was there an attempt to tie Walker in with the so called 1% which the movement is against?

With the fear mongering the union officials and Liberals in general were preaching, was there an attempt to divide the chasm of classes through messages like the rich versus the unions or the GOP versus the working man?

Could the unions have outspent the Koch brothers and other donors had they decided to?

Why did the unions, who have a storied history of indulgence donations to Liberal candidates, fail to outspend the Walker Campaign?

Why did the Democratic Party fail to support Mayor Barrett financially until the last minute when they were at one point calling this the most important election in America second to the Presidency?

If other Liberal candidates are getting the majority of their major funding from PACs and committees, why was Barrett’s coffer not closer to Walkers?

Why was the media so quick to turn this election into an issue about money rather than an election about the issues?

Could this be a slight of hand where the Liberals sacrifice a major, nationally publicized state election for the purpose to create class warfare and tie the GOP to the evil 1%?

So did the Democrats throw the Wisconsin Recall Election?  The circumstances allow this as a possibility.  When I go through and answer these questions it pops into my head that it’s a better possibility than not.  The Liberals are trying to establish any dialog that takes our attention off of the economy and jobs.  Problem is that they have been doing this for so long now they are most of the time predictable.  This play may be another attempt to change that dialog and go to their strength which is to play off of emotions rather than common sense.  I’ll let you look at what happened and determine for yourself, but I do ask that you watch closely what happens in the next few days.  If the dialog increases about the campaign spending issue, then what I am proposing here is true.  If it tones down in the MSM, then they are clear and good luck in November.  I can let you know for sure one thing, I’ll be watching.

UPDATE:  My blog is designed to get people to think, do your own research, and then come up with your own solutions.  This post is a perfect example of this.  So do your own research and watch what happens in the coming weeks and months.

UPDATE 2:  It seems the spending differential is not as stagering as first thought.  Big Journalism has done the math and found that the 7 to 1 ration the Liberals are spinning is just another attempt at smoke and mirrors.  They are playing this as the evil 1% who are the GOP, when in reality they spent near $25 Million themselves to Walker’s $34 million.  And the thing about it is that they are counting money which was spent for Walker and not counted against his campaign, yet they refuse to count the same type of money spent for Barrett.  Typical hypocritical tactics used by the Socialists in the DNC.  To me it still looks plausible that the DNC didn’t try in this election as hard as they could have, but it’s now more plausible that they purposely hid the funding by having outside sources pay for their own adds as a fall back to claim the 7 to 1 spending ratio.  Please do the research and find out for yourself how the lies are flying.  Here’s the story from BJ –
